A few HIGHLIGHTS and a CALL FOR Music and Hands-On VOLUNTEERS:

Volunteers are appreciated at the Cotton Building (10:30am-10pm) - stop by or text 360.643.1961 - Orientation at 11am, Videographers needed for evening & finale. We have a webcam - and if we have help to run it we can stream evening events live! Volunteer any time through the day. Help distribute schedules downtown & uptown and on the web. Or bring your musical gifts forward with others, including a Food Bank Serenade 11-2pm outside!

Jams are at the heart of this festival of participation. All ages & skill levels. All the teachers are great - and there'll be lots of encouragement at the facilitated jams and the open jam spaces jump in and sample: guitar - uke - drum - voice - banjo - even broadway karaoke (and live around the piano too)...NO prior music experience is needed. So jump on it! Risk happiness through music! It's empowering ;)

At the heart of the day we'll honor one of music's - and our county's greatest champions - Andy Mackie with the 1st annual ANDY MACKIE MEMORIAL HARMONICA BLOW-OUT (4pm, Cotton Building). Marina Gittins, who grew up making music with Andy and now works with his Foundation, will perform & give words of tribute at 3:45pm.

For those who prefer to listen: There are more than a dozen formal & less formal concerts, more intimate song circles and informal jams to enjoy (play or listen). One highlight:

At 2pm at the Cotton, Songwriter Liv Crecca, a student at PTHigh, will kick off a POP-UP STUDENT RECITAL.

At 2:45pm at KCPT, Jasper Hitchman age will play (superb) classical piano, followed by Lisa Lanza.

NOTE: There's still room for YOUNG MUSICIANS at the POP-UP recital and other locations including open stages and 2 especially youth friendly jam spaces at the Boiler Room and The Space, a collective out on E.Park by Goodwill. Come share your sounds! Bring the kids!

OUR GRANDE FINALE celebrates our City-wide Make Music Day at 8:30pm

ALL PERFORMERS ARE INVITED. Please join us as we close the day together at the Cotton.
